Church Visible and Invisible

Stonehouse believed that the great Protestant temptation was to conceive of church unity in strictly spiritual terms, thus finding adherence to Christ’s teaching through the invisible church. But the [Westminster] Confession of Faith would not let the OPC off the hook. Chapter twenty-five taught that the church was both visible and invisible.
